Triple Chocolate Cookies

Triple Chocolate Cookies – These cookies were baked only because I was in a crisis. A dessert crisis, that is. One evening I thought I really would not make it if I didn’t have dessert. I didn’t want ice cream, I didn’t want emergency chocolate cake, I didn’t know WHAT I wanted. On Annie’s recommendation on What’s Cooking?, I made these cookies.

She saved the day. Again. And apparently, I wanted chocolate and lots of it. I have to say, it’s so strange because before I was pregnant, I never craved chocolate. I didn’t even crave it while I was pregnant. But in this time AFTER being pregnant? I could eat it all day long. And that’s not good. (But it is…it’s so, so good.)

Let me just say. If you have even a tiny craving for chocolate, you must try these. They will cure the craving and then some. 🙂

5. Add the flour, salt, and baking powder to the bowl and mix on a low speed until incorporated.

6. Stir in the chocolate chips with a wooden spoon, working dough until all ingredients are well combined.

7. Scoop the dough into balls using a tablespoon and lay on prepared cookie sheet, pressing down gently to flatten dough slightly.

8. Bake for 14-16 minutes, depending on size. Let cool on baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to wire rack to cool completely.
