Chocolate Pudding in Puff Pastry Shells – I had Puff Pastry Shells that really needed to be used up and I had no idea what to do with them. We needed dessert for tonight, so I decided to make chocolate pudding to put in the puff pastry. I used the recipe below from

It was a very easy recipe, a good one to keep around. I didn’t have any cream to make whipped cream, nor did I have ice cream. Boo! I did have bananas and almonds, though. It was a tasty follow-up to our chowder. 🙂


Chocolate pudding in puff pastry shells

  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 3 tbsp. cornstarch
  • 2 1/2 c. milk
  • 1/3 c. cocoa
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

1. Mix sugar, cornstarch, cocoa and salt in saucepan.

2. Slowly stir in milk, cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until thick.

3. Stir and cook 3 minutes longer; stir in vanilla.

4. Chill.
Makes 6.
