Best Spaghetti Sauce Ever!!

Really! It was THE best sauce I've made - ever. Or at least in a really long time. My pictures didn't really turn out, though. :( Sorry about that. I made spaghetti because it always makes a lot and with my wonderful in-laws here to help paint the exterior of the house, I knew I needed to make something filling and something that would create leftovers.

Best Spaghetti Sauce Ever

2 tbsp. olive oil
1 medium onion, chopped
1 medium carrot, diced
4 garlic cloves, minced
1 tsp. dried basil
1 tsp. dried oregeno
2 large bay leaves, dried
1 lb. lean ground beef or turkey
1 large can diced tomatoes
1 large can crushed tomatoes
1 tbsp. tomato paste
Parmesan cheese

1. Heat a dutch oven over medium heat. Add olive oil.
2. Brown meat. Drain.
3. Add onions and carrots. Let cook until softened, 8-10 minutes.
4. Add garlic and cook until fragrant.
5. Add tomato paste and coat ingredients.
6. Add dry spices.
7. Add both cans of tomatoes.
8. Stir together well.
9. Let cook at least 20 minutes.

Serve over any type of pasta. Enjoy!
